What sets TouchDesigner apart from many other software platforms is its vibrant community. The constant sharing of knowledge and resources allows users to learn from one another and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Many community members have generously shared the plugins and tools they’ve created, making TouchDesigner more accessible for everyone. Now with the introduction of POPs (Point Operators), there are even more innovative tools than ever before.
Every year on the Interactive & Immersive HQ, we highlight the latest TouchDesigner community tools you should know about. If you missed our previous roundups, here are some links:

Here’s our latest updated list of essential TouchDesigner community tools for 2026.
YOLO TouchDesigner Plugin: Multi-Pose, Object, VisDrone, & Face Tracking + More
Torin Blankensmith continues to share amazing tools with the community. His YOLO plugin uses machine learning to track almost anything within TouchDesigner, bringing powerful computer vision capabilities directly into your projects.
Features:
• Object Tracking – unique IDs that persist across frames
• Multi-Person Pose Tracking – body keypoints, joints, and persistent IDs across frames
• VisDrone – trained specifically for aerial and security footage (great for floor tracking installations)
• Face-Tracking Nano – unique face IDs tracked across frames
• Drop-in Component – packaged as a .tox file you can load directly into TouchDesigner
• Custom Models – bring your own custom YOLOv11 models by exporting them with ONNX (export script available on GitHub)
• Webcam + TOP Support – use any webcam or connect any TOP to start processing
You can access YOLO by subscribing to Torin’s Patreon
LOPs (Language/Learning/Logic/Latent Operators)
DotSimulate has created many valuable TouchDesigner tools for the community. In 2025, he announced LOPs: a comprehensive suite of TouchDesigner operators for AI and data processing.
With 60+ operators available, LOPs include:
• LLM Operators – language models and text processing
• Pipeline Operators – complex image, audio, and text workflows
• RAG Operators – retrieval-augmented generation
• Control Operators – UI and control systems
• Utility Operators – supporting functions
The system is fully released and actively being developed.

POPX
Created by mini uv, POPX is a custom family of operators that extends TouchDesigner’s POPs (Point Operators). It introduces a GPU-accelerated framework for generating, transforming, and simulating geometry in real time. While optimized for its packed POPX Geometry system, all operators work seamlessly with any standard POP geometry.
POPX operators are divided into 5 main types:
• Generators – for creating geometry
• Falloffs – for defining influence regions
• Modifiers – for transforming instances
• Tools – for utility operations
• Simulations – for physics-based dynamics

Mini UV has an in-depth POPX guide that goes through how to install it.

We’re making our 7 core project file templates available – for free.
These templates shed light into the most useful and sometimes obtuse features of TouchDesigner.
They’re designed to be immediately applicable for the complete TouchDesigner beginner, while also providing inspiration for the advanced user.
MFI Tools: Motion Blur
Matterform has started creating TouchDesigner tools for the community, part of their MFI Tools. He has a Motion Blur tool that creates After Effects and Photoshop-style blur effects with ease in real-time.
You can find the Motion Blur tool and other MFI tools on his Patreon.
RayTK
Tommy Ekins created RayTK. A library of components for TouchDesigner that empowers creators to use raymarching and shaders without having to write any code.
Shaders are powerful, but writing them is complicated and requires programming knowledge that many artists do not have. Even for artists who do have that knowledge, it can be a tedious and error-prone process.

You can learn more about RayTK through their website.
RayTK is available to download.
Embody
Dylan Roscover created Embody, a full MCP (Model Context Protocol) for TouchDesigner that allows you to use Claude Code to build anything through conversation alone. The tool fully understands your network structure and handles proper externalization for Git—even with COMPs.
Embody now supports a new open format called TDN (TouchDesigner Network), which is JSON-like and super flexible, making it perfect for diffing and version control. Best of all, it’s completely free.

You can learn more about Dylan’s strategy here.
You can download Embody here.
T3D
Josef Pelz created T3D before POPs were officially released. It is an operator family that allows people familiar with TOPs to work with 3D textures in a familiar workflow.
You can get T3D by subscribing to Josef’s Patreon.
L2D
Prismatic Visuals recently created an operator family focused on real-time 2D lighting in TouchDesigner. One of the biggest criticisms of 3D in TouchDesigner has been the difficulty of achieving dynamic lighting in real time. This operator family significantly expands what can be created in TouchDesigner by addressing this limitation head-on.

Wrap Up
The TouchDesigner community continues to innovate and share incredible tools that push the software’s capabilities forward. Whether you’re working with machine learning, AI integration, procedural geometry, volumetric rendering, or dynamic lighting, these community-created operators can dramatically accelerate your workflow and open up new creative possibilities.
We encourage you to support these creators on Patreon not only to gain access to these powerful tools but also to help sustain the spirit of sharing and innovation that makes the TouchDesigner community so special.
