NVIDIA Broadcast 2.0: 2025 Update

Here at the Interactive & Immersive HQ, we’ve long been fans of NVIDIA Broadcast—and not too long ago, NVIDIA rolled out a fresh update with several new AI-powered features. The last time we covered an update was two years ago , and since then, the software has continued to improve. These new tools continue NVIDIA’s push to make high-quality broadcasting more accessible, especially for creators who don’t have access to expensive gear.

In this post, we’ll break down what’s new in the NVIDIA Broadcast app, how we’re integrating these features into our workflow, and how you might find them useful in yours.

What Is NVIDIA Broadcast?

If you’re new to it, NVIDIA Broadcast is free software for RTX GPU users that uses AI to enhance your mic, speakers, and webcam in real-time. It’s designed for streamers, remote workers, educators, and creatives who want to improve their audio and video presence without extra hardware. NVIDIA Broadcast has many useful tools including auto frame, background blur, video noise removal, and much more.

At the Interactive & Immersive HQ, we use NVIDIA Broadcast to remove background in our tutorial videos and TouchDesigner projects. In the past, tasks like this required a Kinect or another form of body-tracking sensor, but Broadcast makes it possible with just a webcam.

What’s New in 2.0?

Studio Voice (Beta)

Studio Voice uses AI to dramatically improve microphone quality; even built-in webcam mics sound more professional. While previous versions of NVIDIA Broadcast included noise and echo removal, this new feature replaces both by creating a cleaner, more polished vocal track. In our experience, it’s especially helpful for video recordings and calls in noisy environments. Note this isn’t the best feature if you have a GPU-intensive app in the background, such as TouchDesigner, running. Then, the noise and echo removal feature can be a better choice.

Virtual Key Light (Beta)

This new tool automatically adjusts the lighting on your face to reduce shadows and simulate a physical key light. It’s useful when filming in uneven or low-light setups, and makes it easier to get a balanced look without additional gear.

Video Noise Removal (Beta)

Video noise can be a challenge if you record in darker settings. This feature reduces graininess and artifacts in low-light video, improving overall image clarity.

Eye Contact

The Eye Contact feature, first introduced in a previous version, has been significantly improved in this latest version. Previously, there were noticeable glitches—unnatural blinking, awkward gaze shifts—but this update brings smoother, more realistic results. It’s now more viable for real-world use, especially on calls or in direct-to-camera video.

Virtual Background

The background removal tool now has better edge detection and separation, making the cutout between foreground and background look more natural and less glitchy, which is great for live presentations or recorded content.

How We Use It

The NVIDIA Broadcast app has been a game-changer for remote work and travel setups. It allows us to:

  • Record tutorial videos without bringing extra lighting or microphones.
  • Use built-in laptop webcams and mics for cleaner footage and audio.
  • Replace Kinect or depth sensors in interactive installations.
  • Set up fast, mobile-ready video capture with minimal gear.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 update to NVIDIA Broadcast continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI-enhanced video and audio. For creators, educators, and technologists, building a professional-grade setup using just your laptop and an RTX GPU is increasingly feasible. Whether you’re producing a remote workshop, building an interactive installation, or just hopping on a client call from your hotel room, Broadcast brings quality and convenience together.

We’re excited to see how these tools continue to evolve—and what future updates will bring to the creative workflow.
